Dear St. Dylan, yet another poseur wannabe who doesn’t know jackshit about Death Metal (are you even American) but thinks that Chuck “is death metal.” Listen kiddo, I don’t know who you are or where you’re from, but try talking to some people who actually knew the man…that’ll tell you what an ass he really was, and how little he actually influenced anybody. Bands like Pestilence, Morbid Angel, Deicide…now THERE are some of the innovators of death metal for you.

Really sometimes I wonder what makes people so hostile over the net I guess it’s the fact that everyone’s nice and cozy behind the safety of their computer

and to suck chuldiner i don’t know this is just a bizarrely wild guess but im assuming this post was for people who have a different opinion than the one which you put forth. I agree with Amaya I think they were brilliant all the same. Not to mention Death themselves never claimed to pioneer the genre but many people credited them for doing so and whether or not they did Chuck’s brilliance can hardly be denied.

What exactly is the point of this post?

Death neither “created” or “pioneered” the genre, nor was Schuldiner the god that people make him out to be.

Have you ever held an actual Death album in your hand? Ever wonder why he needed to write “Support Music, not Rumours” on EVERY FUCKING RELEASE?
