High heels, mascara, lip gloss and dramatic hair. Finally, a model walks the runway in extraordinary attire with a designer label on it. Cameras click, flashes adorn the air and the elite watch in awe. Such was the stereotypical perspective when it came to high fashion. But now, that’s classified, history.

Over the years, fashion has grown into something that is more than just an industry, to a passion that has been embraced by almost everyone. Fashion has plagued around the runway and beyond; reached other industries, touched borders of various countries and inspired the young and old. Fashion and style has evolved and grown especially in the music industry. But I am not here to bleed my ink on fashion in the music industry but to focus instead on fashion in the Rock and Roll industry.

So my dearest, what better way to start than to wrap my black ink around the body and mind of Marilyn Manson? His appearance, a witness can never erase off the mind. He makes sure it’s etched forever.

His name may be unreal, but his inner self is just as real as your flesh and blood. A man whose sense of style bleeds with nothing but pure, clear originality; Manson is the only individual that I know, who can truly portray his twisted mind and vulgar thoughts in his fashion sense and still make grotesque, beautiful.

Yes, that’s right. I admire Marilyn Manson’s sick, vulgar mind because through my eyes, it’s artistic, original and beautiful. And what I love even more, his sense of style. Yes, he is the anti-christ superstar, the controversial rock star, and millions have had their thoughts spill through their tongues. So I’m not a fool to waste my time talking about the obvious. Instead, let me take you through the lines of Manson’s leather, the layers of his mascara, the thickness of his lipstick and down to the heels of his boots.

Marilyn Manson’s face, to begin with, is extraordinary. Why? Well for starters, if you haven’t noticed already, he has no eyebrows. Don’t get excited, he probably shaved them. He has a unique face, that is constantly layered in makeup, with heavy mascara around his piercing eyes (where the color of his iris’ don’t match which gives it a scary image, but that’s Manson), his thick lips painted with strong lipstick that’s also smudged around and of course, his hair in various hairstyles mostly dyed red or black.

Manson’s sense of style is laced around the gothic sub-culture. Sprayed with a lot of black, and tainted with vulgarity and edginess. And none of it is quite manly. He does portray a feminine shade but carries that in a way, in SUCH a way, that no one, NO ONE, can label it gay. He may be gay, bisexual for all I care, but when he dresses, that’s not gay. That’s Marilyn Manson.

I would label him a unisex creature, this genderless man who cannot be manlier when portraying this feminine personality. He also can be classified in the BDSM category, since his attires do reflect a pale shade of bondage in most of his videos, and he gives prominence to black leather as much as Pamela Anderson would for her breasts. His high heeled boots would put any woman to shame if she couldn’t walk in them. And what completes the anti-christ superstar? His raw, sexy tattoos along the sides of his arms. Yes, Marilyn Manson is leather, makeup, tattoos, flesh and blood and a beautiful twisted mind.

If he wanted to push his hair down my throat, I would drink it everyday. A beautiful piece of art. A perfect slice of heaven, or must I say a slice of hell? Vulgarity can never be this beautiful.
