It’s been said that Glenn Frey wrote the Eagles song with the same title after spending a night awake drinking tequila. We have no idea if that’s true. But we do know that this is one heavenly cocktail.

2 oz Tequila

4 oz Orange Juice

¾ oz Grenadine

Mix tequila with orange juice and ice, and strain into highball glass. Add more ice cubes and add the grenadine slowly by tilting the glass and pouring it along the side. Before drinking, stir to create the effect of the sunrise.

Please do make sure to drink in moderation, and never drive after drinking.
